Life With Power Tools

First of all, this is an OUTSTANDING Drill/driver combo! I want to point out to all who have read reviews about the batteries being poor that the ones who have written those reviews have neglected to point out that the batteries that come with the set are 1.5 amp hour batteries. The 3.0 Amph batteries are sold with a seperate combo set (LXT-202) which is nearly twice the price. So, OBVIOUSLY they are not going to last as long.

Great item for the price, light weight yet power enough to handle tough jobs. I particularly like the Lithium Ion batteries, they hold the charge even when not in use. Great item fir the price!! Very satisfied with the item.

This item is a great assett to anyone that does engineered flooring installation. Very visible staple cartridge. No jambs and accurate on every shot. Consistant depth control. Ran this tool on a 2 gallon air compressor and had no problems

This stapler is just what I need for all of my 16ga.stapler jobs. The depth adjustment and the trigger mode are both easy to change. It is lighter than most 16ga. staplers making it less tiring to operate for a full day.

The tool is solid and performs well in limited situations. Its narrow staple works well for attaching wood and other stiff materials to wood. I found it ill suited for attaching felt to wood. I’m not disappointed with it because I knew its limitations beforehand.

I wanted a light compressor for small jobs and bought this combination becaue of the exellent value. I didn’t need the brad nailer but gave it a try. It is far better than my old Porter Cable so I now use the Bostich. The compressor works well but it is noisier than my much larger compressor. I was using it indoors and had it sitting on a dropcloth on top of a carpet which should have muffled the sound a bit. Ear plugs are in order for even the most brief of use.

This one’s a bit of a paradox: The do-it-yourselfer might pass by this compressor in favor of an oil-free, no-maintenance model, but it’s actually one of the best on the market for the homeowner, hobbyist and weekend warrior.
This product is the quietest compressor we’ve ever encountered. It’s a remarkable departure in a genre of tools that normally force you to suspend conversation while it’s cycling. The MAC700 puts out 80 decibels, according to the folks at Makita, and when you compare that to the 90 and up you get from most units, that’s practically a hum. So we like this for household use, especially in a basement shop.
